Aplana’s Testing Center comprises over 30 testers, experienced in testing a wide range of applications, including web-based distributed applications and mission critical transactional systems (functional and performance). Aplana employs advanced methods and facilities, comprising all types of testing tasks – modular testing, component testing, functional testing, regression testing, stress testing, etc.

Aplana offers the following services:

As a part of partnership program with Intel Corp. Aplana offers load testing of software (including sizing) with the use of Intel servers. This kind of service allows Aplana’s customers to chose system firmware, which best corresponds to cost/performance value. Besides it helps to make the right choice of software, which will function the best way on the chosen Intel server.

Aplana Test Center works in two ways:

• Providing testing to the external organizations (outsourcing of testing);
• Testing of custom software products developed by Aplana

The primary goals of "external" testing are:

• Quality Assurance of the software
• Estimation of software performance and reliability

The primary goals of testing of solutions developed by Aplana:

• Agreed design documentation
• Correct realization of requirements
• Correct designing of architecture
• Validation of a choice of a hardware-software platform for software
• Management of software modifications

Tools and Methodology

Testing procedures rely on proven methodologies (standard ones are adapted RUP) and leading automated testing tools

• Rational Test Studio (Test Manager, Robot, Functional Tester, Performance Tester),
• HP Performance Center (LoadRunner),
• HP Quality Center (Test Director, Quick Test Professional, WinRunner)

Testing procedures are compliant with local and international standards for testing and quality assurance (IEEE Std 829-1998 “Standard for Software Test Documentation” and Key Practices of the Capability Maturity Model SM , Version 1.1 /CMU/SEI-93-TR-025 ESC-TR-93-178).

Cooperation models

• Testing projects performance (functional, load) on the test-bed in Aplana or on the customer’s site
• Embedding testing procedures into customer’s development process by Aplana’s specialists 
• Methodologies development; acceptance tests performance of external agency’s developments
• Development of recommendations on quality improvement and minimization of testing cost
